Valley Aquatic Center is owned and
operated by the Kankakee River Valley Park District. This $6.9
million facility has multiple attractions for the entire community.
Attendance has remained at high levels since its opening in June 2004. Construction will begin soon on a new 10-foot wide biking/walking trail along the Kankakee River. Miles of asphalt for the trail will be along the south shore of the river. Providing a wonderful view for families enjoying a bike ride or walking the family dog. Kankakee Valley Construction will begin work immediately on trail that will run between the Splash Valley Aquatic Center and the quiet residential streets east of the Aqua Illinois offices on Schuyler Avenue. |
