To the north of RiverStone is the beautiful campus of Kankakee Community College. An Arts & Sciences facility just opened to students and work is completed on the development of the Health Careers Center for Excellence on campus. The college continues to offer many post secondary educational opportunities and workforce development training to the major manufacturers and to small businesses in the area.
KCC continues to partner with the Kankakee Valley Park District to operate a building which houses the college's Fitness Center with state-of-the-art equipment and the O.A.K Ice Arena. KCC has also enhanced its riverfront trails as part of the Riverfront Trail Initiative in Kankakee County working to connect the trails along the Kankakee River from the City of Kankakee to the State Park in Bourbonnais. |
